tamber bey vineyards

Type: Winery, Equestrian Ranch // $$–$$$  Visit: 1.5–2hrs avg

Located at the Sundance Ranch, Tamber Bey is a unique winery and world-class equestrian facility producing 100% estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Chardonnay. Guests can book a Courtyard Tasting Experience stableside with mountain views, or upgrade to the Collector’s Experience in the private Ambassador Room featuring rare Signature Collection and library wines. Add-ons include cheese and charcuterie boards or picnic lunches from Sam’s General Store, and the 22-acre ranch is home to endurance horses, polo ponies, and miniature horses.

Why we like it:

This isn’t your typical winery—Tamber Bey combines critically acclaimed wines with a working equestrian ranch where you can sip stableside and visit with horses against a backdrop of Mount St. Helena. The Courtyard Tasting lets you relax by the paddocks with their acclaimed estate wines, or splurge on the Collector’s Experience for rare library gems in the private Ambassador Room—either way, add the charcuterie board and make it a whole afternoon with the horses.
